The Board of Trustees of HOMECorp announced that, after an extensive search process, Walter Blenman has been selected as the Executive Director, replacing Beverly Riddick who stepped down in April after 20 years with the organization. Julie Cerf served as Interim Executive Director from May until the end of December.

"We are pleased to announce Walter Blenman as HOMECorp's next Executive Director. Walter has an award-winning track record of growing organizational assets by +$100M to create and manage housing for thousands of people, while actively shaping policy across NYC and New Jersey. We look forward to him working with our staff and putting his skills to use to increase funding, support, and involvement, and to forge strong government, political, public, and private relationships. Walter's experience and knowledge are a great match for HOMECorp today, and will help us expand our effort to provide more affordable housing options in Montclair." says David Grill, HOMECorp's Board President.

Among Mr. Blenman's many accomplishments, he most recently spent 20 years as the Executive Director of Beulah HFDC Inc. In this position he grew the organization from 2 developments with 7 buildings and 138 units totaling $11M in assets to 11 developments with 34 buildings and 586 units totaling $118.5M in assets.

In a statement about his new position, Mr. Blenman noted, "After spending nearly twenty years of my career in the development and management of affordable housing in NYC, I am excited to finally be able to do the same in New Jersey, in my own backyard. HOMECorp has a rich history of success in providing and managing affordable housing and I am eager to continue and expand upon that mission!"

Mr. Blenman will take over as HOMECorp's Executive Director on January 3 2017.

HOMECorp's mission is to create and maintain housing that preserves economic diversity and ignites community revitalization while fostering financial empowerment.
